I thought I would drop you a short note thanking VG's for putting on the weekend paint and panel lesson.
In particular I would like to thank Mark and Mario for giving us the chance to learn from them. Both guys were extremely professional and knowledgeable. The guys struck a healthy balance between teaching us quite a few things and promoting VG's products.
In any case thank you for providing the facilities, trainers and product.
Now all I need to do is explain to my better half why I needed the grinder and spray gun that I purchased on Saturday!
Thanks Again
Michael

Hi,
Together with my son and a couple of friends attended the touch up course held last Saturday 14th June. I would like to say a big thank you for setting this up. It was a very enjoyable and informative morning not to mention a good feed. Mario and Mark did a fantastic job demonstrating, explaining things and answering questions.
I am now pumped up and ready to try again (seeing that my previous attempt was a disaster).
Review: The first class was a huge success. We had
about 15 people turn up, including 2 girls. The day was to start at 8am,
but most turned up at 7.15 all keen and ready to learn. The 2 qualified
spray painters had everything setup and ready to start the day. The group
moved into the VG workshop area and got underway.
The
first lesson was dent repair and using body filler. The lesson then moved
onto preparation and spray gun setup, including air pressure fluid and fan
width. Spraying technique and spray putty was also touched on. Repairing
scratches in body work was then explained and demonstrated. Spraying the
colour was next, and all the do's and don'ts were explained to the group
also what to do with runs in the paint and how to fix them was included.
People
in the group were given a chance to use the equipment and get some hands
on practice with the spray gun. Rubbing the paint and clear coat was next.
Finally the group was shown how to buff and polish the paintwork which included
sanding and how to use the compound and which pads to use. After the class
was finished the group was enjoying the free BBQ and drinks that was put
on for the day and any questions were answered. The group was all very happy
with the experience.
Some
comments included were: -- "I did a 6 week course and paid over $300,
and I learned more in the last 4 hrs then that whole course." -- "Can
I come to the next one" -- "I took 2 weeks off work to paint a
job and didn't know what went wrong, now I can go back and do it right."
-- "That was really good I have learned so much today"..
The
2 painters that ran the class were very happy how the day went and were
exited about how keen everyone was and their willingness to learn.
